The Feast of St Patrick takes place on March 17th each year, the death date of the patron saint of Ireland.  If you don’t have any shamrocks or much green in your wardrobe and some of your household members are a bit too young to enjoy a Guinness there’s still plenty of other ways to mark the occasion…

Download a shamrock outline via Sheryl Cooper’s St Patrick’s Day Ideas for Preschool post on Teaching 2 & 3 Year Olds.  The teacher uses the shamrock shape “not just at the art table, but also the light table, play dough table, mixed in with dramatic play, on our science shelf — pretty much evenly spread around the classroom!”  Plus, at the end of her post, Sheryl links to eight fellow bloggers and their St Patrick’s Day projects for even more inspiration.
