The Feast of St Patrick takes place on March 17th each year, the death date of the patron saint of Ireland. If you don’t have any shamrocks or much green in your wardrobe and some of your household members are a bit too young to enjoy a Guinness there’s still plenty of other ways to mark the occasion…
Pre K-Pages includes a Printable St Patrick’s Day Bingo on its “Inspiration for Early Education” website. As well as a colour version it’s also available in black and white so your children can have fun colouring it in first.
For a Free St Patrick’s Day Coin Counting Printable head to 3 Dinosaurs where the activity is just one of the 31 Days of Free Printables Cassie is posting to her blog this month. The counting printable is day two, day one saw her offer Free Division Flash Cards to her readers.
Download a shamrock outline via Sheryl Cooper’s St Patrick’s Day Ideas for Preschool post on Teaching 2 & 3 Year Olds. The teacher uses the shamrock shape “not just at the art table, but also the light table, play dough table, mixed in with dramatic play, on our science shelf — pretty much evenly spread around the classroom!” Plus, at the end of her post, Sheryl links to eight fellow bloggers and their St Patrick’s Day projects for even more inspiration.
Hodge Podge Craft also provides a list of links to 10+ St Patrick’s Day Crafts for Kids including Gude’s own Pop-up Shamrock DIY Card as well as Do Small Things With Love’s colouring cards and a further list of St Patrick’s Day Crafts links compiled by Crystal & Co.
For a “quick, last minute St. Patrick’s Day decoration” download The Purple Pumpkin’s Happy St. Patrick’s Day! poster designed by Michelle.
Or, if you want to add your own details to a design, download one of InkFactory’s own three themed templates which feature a Leprechaun, Leprechaun’s hat or shamrock.
Although she presides over A Typical English Home, Angela can claim to be “one sixteenth Irish” and she’s keen to share her love of St Patrick’s Day too. Her St Paddy Party Pack includes party circles, food labels, flags, gift tags and bunting.
As Angela says “May the luck o’ the Irish be with you. ;-)”.
