Are you expecting zombie hordes of ghouls and goblins to come knocking this evening? Why not banish the demons from your door with an extra treat to go with their sweets?
Party Delights shares some Cute (and Free!) Halloween Chocolate Bar Wrappers on its blog that will “transform ordinary chocolate bars into something a little more scary” – there are three designs, a ghost, bat and vampire.
The Purple Pumpkin blog’s Michelle “makes giving out the sweets to the kids when they come knocking at Halloween a little more fun” by handing them out in trick or treat candy tubes made by recycling toilet rolls – paint them black then add her printable Halloween toppers to the top and your doorstep guests will be left guessing what’s in their stash until they open them up at home.
If you’re feeling particularly generous then Paper and Cake’s printable treat box “is the perfect size for candy, snacks or toys – you can even make it “to go” by slipping it into a cellophane favor bag”.
Diana from the Girl Creative poses the question “Have you ever been BOO’D??” – a new concept to me, she explains, “We were for the first time last year and we had such a fun time booing our friends and neighbors back! We’d pull up to our friends houses with our lights off, the kids and my husband would get out and sneak up to the door, ring the bell and then run like heck! It was a little nerve wracking to be honest, hoping we don’t get caught but it was totally worth it!” The printables she provides not only include You’ve been boo’d labels and a We’ve been boo’d sign but also the instructions “to keep the fun going…”. Step 3 = “Deliver the treats and papers to 2 other houses in your neighborhood who haven’t been boo’d yet. Don’t let them see you. Guessing who boo’d you is part of the fun!” So if you’re going out for the evening but there’s still some people you’d like to treat then why not deliver your sweets anonymously to their door and see if they can work out where they came from?!
