NGWStart something beautiful is the tagline for this year’s National Gardening Week (April 13-19) organised by the RHS.  Launched four years ago it “has grown into the country’s biggest celebration of gardening”.

As Spring’s improving weather welcomes new life and colour back into our own little grassy oases it’s not difficult to see why such imagery inspires many designers.

GPlaydoughKate from Picklebums ensured an early floral display by designing some printable flowers to accompany her family’s fun with green and brown playdough.  Her Printable Playdough Garden includes flowers, bugs and butterflies.  The two sheets include one with the parts of the flowers separated out so you can assemble your own.

GScarecrowsIf you’re planting outside however then why not use Stacy’s Scarecrow Markers posted on Inkspot Worksop?  Or you could use Melissa and Doug’s ready to colour-in Garden Plant Tags.

GNotebookAnd, if you’re keeping a record of the progress of your hard work, head to A Number of Things to download their a little garden notebook cover “for the careful recording of planting dates, varieties, garden maps, etc.”

Or you could use the My Plant Journal page that Lemon Lime Adventures’s Dayna includes in her Gardening with Kids post.
