This week Ink Factory launched Bitstamped a new web service that let’s you create a publicly verifiable time-stamp for printed documents.

Here are some screen-shots of the two main views in the app:

The main dashboard

Uploading a new document is easy, browse for the file, then pay with a card to complete the upload. Payments are handled by Stripe and the file is stored using Amazon S3.

The verification page

This page is publicly accessible, the options to adjust the file privacy are only shown to the signed-in user who Bitstamped the file. The default is to keep the file private, it can be changed at any time.

Summary

Bitstamped.io gives you a way to prove when your document first existed.

You could use it for a proof of condition report, to time-stamp photographic evidence, or add the printable QR code link to the foot of your printed documents to deter plagiarism.
